wonderful friends, as some of you know, I have been waiting and in need of my norweigan work permit (what I shall refer to as my visa). visas, as is quite commenly known, are kind of a big deal when trying to enter a foreign land, and I still had not received any word about mine, accepted or denied, from the norwegian conculate. and I did plan on writing this blog today to ask you to join with me in prayer for my visa to come in, BUUUUUUUUT… recently God has decided to surprise me, blow me away, and bless the socks right off my very feet. His provision is not only enough, but overflowing upon me.
"how?" you ask?
today, upon receiving a suspicious envelope in the mail, with just one single page of a paper inside of it. I HAVE MY VISA!
I am approved! and I am good to go!
also, I have a fabulous rain coat (also received in today’s mail)

much like the one worn by debbie reynolds

my goodness, she's beautiful... gawk...
in singing in the rain.

(an all time favorite of mine)
la la la. I keep doing little jigs here and there, and have the urge to skip. if any feel like joining, come on over, we’ll have a skipping party
all this to say prayer is powerful. God is a provider. and his timing is PERRRRFECT!
love love love.
oh, I am quite overjoyed!
p.s. I figured out what the problem was, and have enabled comments. so have at it!

Oh Rachy you always make me smile! A bright yellow rain coat will make Norway so very happy.... I can picture you singing and dancing in the rain already!

LOL! SO excited for you Rachael! About Norway, AND about the raincoat. It's always been my dream to have a matching raincoat, hat and/or umbrella, and galoshes, and if I got those (whether I had received happy visa news on the same day or not), I would be skipping around too... in the galoshes. : )
thanks everyone!
and I am definitely wearing my galoshes on the airplane... gotta keep my checked bags underweight you know?
Hey Rachael,it's pretty cool that you're pursuing the call the Lord has placed on your life. That's awesome that God has been providing for you, and I know that He will continue to do so. Can't wait to "see" what God does with your life. No matter hard it gets, keep the faith and keep Him first.

aww, thanks for the comment! it's nice to know I actually have some readers out there.
so you're going to live in Norway? that's really neat! I would really love to move to Europe someday, but it will probably never happen. I wish you the best!

Dear Racheal,
Your feedback was very interesting and I find it ironic that your quote of the day says this: "One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life. That word is love." -Sophocles
haha, it fits in perfectly with our little convo. :)
And I agree, I love the idea and aesthetic of birds in general, just because they generate such a feeling of freedom. My friend Christine is actually getting a dove tattoo, the Picasso version.
And once again, thanks for your comments and input. It means a lot. :)
your friend,
Becca
so proud of you.
you're a world changer, dear dear friend.
i've known that since the day with grapes and ugly skirts from wal-mart whilst sitting in the bottom of a 15 passenger van in the back on our way to Mexico.
you inspire.
dude! one of my all time favorites as well and i remember watching it with you in new zealand when i was 9 or 10 :D
